The Rules of General Discussion and ZA

1. No internet, racial, or vulgar in general slang in the forums or AIM battles. This includes things such as leet speak, and the incorrect spelling of words. (such as y r u hre.) This rule does not include abbreviations of terms common to internet chats that reflect actions or reactions (the word lol representing laugh out loud for example.)

2. No threatening any players, staff, or the site on this forum or any other. Under the law any threat against another member or worker on ZA or the site itself can be interpreted as a threat. If this occurs the ZA staff will take a log of the offending remarks and have them sent to your ISP, at that time your ISP may decide to turn off your internet service, or report you to the authorities.

3. Your signature must be no larger then the width and height of a normal message board post, and must be within a reasonable file size of 45k (meaning a file as large as 50, 60, or even 70k would be acceptable, well a file of 180k would not. This rule may be enforced by an admin or supermod if they feel your signature interferes with the use of the forum.) Your signature may not include any pornographic images, Gorey content, vulgar phrases/words, or drug content.

4. You may not post Pornographic, Gore, or vulgar contents in general on ZA or in an AIM battle.

5. Attention grabbing threads such as "I'm mad, so I'm going to break the rules and you can ban me if you want." Will result in you being banned. Unneccisary "I'm leaving threads" will also result in a ban. This specifically refers to instances where a player may feel unjust or mistreated, and are trying to grab others attention to damage the site. Things such as "I have to go cause of school." or "I'll be on vacation." or even "My parents are taking away the computer." are still allowed. This rule is here to prevent unneccisary emotions and keep the feelings of the site level headed. If you have a problem, take it up with an admin or supermod over AIM or PM, or take some time off, ZA is not a schoolyard.

6. Flaming and Bashing other players will instantly result in a suspension. This does not include playful jokes or comments. However, insulting another members intellegence, or actions, or race or sex will not be allowed in any way or form. ZA is a tolerant site where everybody is welcome to come and enjoy themselves.

7. Political and Religious dicussion in any manner is not allowed on ZA. This includes presidential elections in all countries, war, and religious beliefs. People are often intollerant of one another because of what they were taught to believe. At ZA, your beliefs aren't needed to enjoy one anothers company.

8. Player applications and registration are closed until actively listed by an admin. If the link to the player applications say they are open, but lead to nothing then applications are currently down.

9. Asking about the rules and methods of how to play ZA are allowed, but often the same questions flood the forum. It is suggested that all new members head To the Info section of ZA and read up on the rules, gameplay, and history of the site. Please be smart, and see if your question can be answered by the website before you feel the need to ask a question, or check the previous threads. Your question has probly been asked by someone else already.

10. Refer to the active judge list located here. , Please do not ask judges who are listed as inactive to judge. If no judges are available, you are welcome to take your battle into the arena or wait later for a judge. Any form of harrasement to an active or inactive judge will result in an immediate suspension for a minimum of three days. If a judge says they are unavailable, does not respond, or has just logged in, it is inappropriate to ask them to judge. Judges may also tack a fine onto the suspension for continued offenders.

11. In a battle, a judge will either allow, or disallow ingame comments or IM's to the judge. If the judge disallows either of these things, you must hold your comments until the battle has ended. If you feel an error has been done in a judgement, you must wait until the battle has ended and send a link with the finished battle to either myself, for review. Be aware that we have many battles to review at any one time, it may take a few days until your battle has been dealt with. Until that time you will continue to do things according to the rules, repair your zoids, add or subtract from your funds, increase or decrease rank, etc, until notified by an admin or supermod.

12. Any staff members word is final.

13. If during a registration period your first application was rejected, you may still send in another application well registrations are still open. However please don't keep resending the same application, be inventive, and rework your profiles.

14. The general discussion is for general discussion, spam, excessivly comedic, and silly topics go in the Forest.

15. ZA admins hand pick the staff and judges, asking to become a staff member or a judge will not make it happen. We hold judge applications regularly, new and old members are welcome to try out for judgeship during those application periods.

16. The transfer of funds between players is restricted.

17. The loaning of ZX and UX type zoids to non team members is restricted.

18. The falsification of your signatures funds, record, or zoids is a violation of the rules. This can result in anything from a warning to correct the signature for first time offenders, to suspension for multiple time offenders.

19. The use of any ZA related content must be approved by Don, Tom, or Dave. If you take any ZA content and use it for your own purposes, or for your own site, we will first ask you to remove your content, then contact your ISP and web host at our soonest convenience. We take piracy very seriously at ZA.

20. And finally, try to have fun here. This is a game, nothing that happens at ZA stays at ZA, please don't feel that things that happen in the game are a reflection upon you. Many times people can mistake Roleplaying for being serious, and its difficult to distinguish what is and isn't meant to be hurtful. ZA staff will always stop any unfavorable situations. Please enjoy your time on the site.
